The interim general mayor of the Capital, Stelian Bujduveanu, announced urgent measures for the people affected by the explosion in Sector 5, which occurred on Friday morning. Three people died and 13 were injured as a result of the blast, which severely affected two floors of an apartment building. Bujduveanu stated that no one will be left on the streets, with all victims being accommodated in hotels at the expense of the City Hall.

Starting Monday, housing from the municipal fund will be available for the affected families. The City Hall will also provide financial support to victims who cannot return to their homes. Additionally, a safety perimeter has been established around the affected area, and Distrigaz will be required to ensure the appropriate seals to prevent such incidents. The expertise of the affected building will determine its fate, and the authorities will take strict measures to prevent the recurrence of a similar tragedy.
