The draft resolution launched by the Bucharest City Hall proposes increasing fines for individuals who destroy green spaces, from 50-100 lei to 3,000-5,000 lei for unauthorized deforestation of trees. Additionally, fines for other offenses related to green spaces will be increased. However, the maximum fine for companies that illegally deforest remains at 5,000 lei, raising questions about the effectiveness of the measures.
