The Bucharest City Hall announced that it has fully paid the outstanding amounts for the Materna vouchers and incentives for children with disabilities, which had been pending since autumn.

General Mayor Ciprian Ciucu stated that these payments, which amount to nearly 4 billion lei, were made as the institution received funds from the Government. Each pregnant woman benefits from 2,000 lei for morphological tests performed in the 11th week of pregnancy and in the last trimester, regardless of income. City Hall officials emphasized that the Ciolacu Government withdrew 3.5 billion lei from the institution's budget in the last two years, which led to difficulties in making these payments.
