The lifeless body of a 28-year-old woman, missing from Arad, was discovered on Saturday evening in the Mureș River, in the area of the locality of Pecica. The young woman was last seen after she left to meet her boyfriend and did not return home. Authorities were alerted via a 112 call around 5:40 PM, and the ISU Arad firefighters intervened to recover the body.

Previous investigations revealed the finding of personal items, including clothes and a purse, on the riverbank, which expanded the search area. Relatives mentioned that the young woman attended a party before her disappearance.

After the body was recovered by fishermen, it was transported to the Arad County Forensic Medicine Service for an autopsy. The police have opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the death, and the cause of death will be determined by forensic doctors.
