The Municipality of Bucharest (PMB) has announced the reopening of traffic on the Basarab Passage, starting tomorrow morning, between 5:00 and 6:00, in the direction of Bd. Titulescu - Șos. Grozăvești.
Traffic will be allowed in both directions, and the markings have already been made. The works will move to the other side, from Grozăvești to Titulescu, where the scanning and milling of the degraded asphalt will begin, followed by repairs, replacements, and cleaning of the expansion joints, guardrails, poles, curbs, tram rails, and stormwater drainage pipes.
The estimated completion date for the works is September 6, and traffic will be fully reopened on the bridge from September 7.
The works will continue without affecting traffic, including the replacement of rusty guardrails during the night. The Basarab Passage, put into use in 2011-2012, has not been accepted, which has led to its degradation.
