The driver of the attacked ambulance in Cluj was operated on for the second time this morning.

The ambulance driver injured in the stone, stick, and axe attack in the commune of Recea-Cristur, Cluj County, was operated on again on Monday morning, August 10. The man arrived at the hospital with a penetrating eye injury and, although the doctors cannot predict the evolution of his condition, he is stable after the intervention. The attack occurred during a medical intervention when the ambulance was hit with stones, and the driver was injured by the shards of the broken window, managing to continue the journey to the hospital with a patient in the ambulance.

The police have identified and arrested seven people aged between 18 and 44, being investigated for disturbing public order and violence. The incident was fueled by false rumors spread on TikTok about an "ambulance that steals children," and the Ministry of Health condemned the attack, calling for firm actions from the authorities.
