The A8 Highway project, section Miercurea Nirajului-Leghin, is progressing with the works for lot 1D Joseni-Ditrău, carried out by a Romanian-Bulgarian association. The design has started, with a deadline of 10 months for the completion of the Technical Project. Lot 1D extends over 14.4 kilometers and includes 21 passages and viaducts, of which three are eco-ducts, intended to protect the local fauna. A road junction will be built at Ditrău to ensure connections with local roads. The project has a total duration of 34 months, including 10 months for design and 24 months for execution. In the spring, the design will be extended for another 64 kilometers, and the works are progressing according to the planning, with essential geotechnical studies for design.
