Due to unfavorable weather, the 400 kV line that interconnects Romania with the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine suffered damage last night, including heavy rains and electrical discharges. Although residents in the Republic of Moldova continue to receive electricity, authorities recommend that they avoid wasting energy during peak hours. Romania will send energy in an islanded mode through the 110 kV lines.

The company Moldelectrica has identified the fault on the Vulcănești - MGRES line and operational teams are working to restore its functionality. Despite the incidents, consumers have not been disconnected from the grid, and the electricity system is functioning stably. Moldelectrica requests the rational use of energy to prevent further disruptions. Additionally, problems are reported in southern Ukraine, in the Odesa area, due to overloads on the lines.
