The 13-year-old minor involved in the crime in Cenei, but who is not criminally liable, is undergoing medical and psychological evaluations, according to the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection (DGASPC) Timiș. The evaluations are essential to establish the necessary measures, including the possibility of including the child in counseling or rehabilitation programs.
The case was taken over by DGASPC on January 21, and specialists participated in the hearings of the minors involved. The Child Protection Commission decided to implement the special protection measure of family supervision. The evaluations will determine whether the minor will remain in the family or be institutionalized. Additionally, the outrage of the residents of Cenei led to the intervention of law enforcement to protect the child, who was removed from the grandparents' house. The mayor called for calm, but protests continued, and locals demanded measures against the minor.
