A 17-year-old girl from the commune of Bodoc, Covasna County, has been placed in preventive detention for 30 days, being accused of assault after attacking a police officer on duty. The incident occurred on July 31, 2026, when a police crew, including the 34-year-old officer, intervened to immobilize a recalcitrant person. The young woman struck the police officer from behind, in the head area, with a wooden stick, causing injuries that required 7-9 days of medical care. Following this attack, the prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Sfântu Gheorghe Court ordered criminal action, and the adolescent was initially detained for 24 hours. The judge later decided on her preventive arrest. The investigation is coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Sfântu Gheorghe Court, with the support of the local police.
