Tanczos Barna, the UDMR Deputy Prime Minister, stated that it is not the time for UDMR to leave the government, emphasizing the importance of stability and mutual trust within the coalition. He acknowledged the difficulties of governance but asserted that UDMR can contribute effectively from this position.
Barna mentioned that the year 2024 will be electoral and highlighted the increase in the budget deficit, caused by high spending, including salary increases and investments. The Deputy Prime Minister criticized the way PSD addresses criticisms in public, emphasizing that UDMR prefers to discuss issues within the coalition. He also expressed the desire to modify taxes to mitigate increases but reaffirmed UDMR's commitment to remain united in support of the government.
