The leadership of the Suceava Prefecture denied information appearing online regarding the crash of an unidentified object near the municipality of Suceava, in the direction of the locality of Stroiești. Following checks by the authorities, no data were found to confirm that such an incident had occurred. The institution stated that, to date, no call concerning the fall of an object in the indicated area had been registered with the single emergency number 112. The Prefecture recommended that citizens not share unverified information and consult exclusively official sources. The rumors appeared after a RO-Alert message was issued on Tuesday afternoon for the counties of Vaslui, Botoșani, Neamț, Suceava, and Iași. According to the Ministry of National Defense, a drone had been detected by the radar system 18 kilometers north of the municipality of Roman. To monitor the situation, two F-18 aircraft of the Spanish Air and Space Force took off. Subsequently, the drone left Romanian territory and crashed in the area of the locality of Mihăileni Vechi in the Republic of Moldova, approximately 25 kilometers east of the Romanian border.
