A man found drone debris in a field in Buzău County. Authorities are examining the site and trying to determine when it crashed

Remains of a drone were found on Wednesday in a field outside the village of Robeasca, Buzău County, by a man who notified the authorities via 112. The fragments were discovered near the village of Moșești, and firefighters went to the indicated location to carry out checks.

The mayor of Robeasca commune, Domnica Vlad, said that, for the time being, it is not known when the drone may have fallen. Domnica Vlad specified that she had been informed by the man who found the remains and that she was heading to the area to find out more details.

“We always hear explosions and the sounds of airplanes,” the mayor stated, without being able to establish a connection between these sounds and the appearance of the fragments.

The authorities are to establish the exact nature of the remains, their origin, and the circumstances in which they ended up in the field. Robeasca commune is located in the southeastern part of Buzău County, on the border with Brăila County.
