The state of alert in Praid has been extended for 30 days following the emergency caused by the flooding of the local salt works by the Corund stream

The Harghita Prefecture announced the extension of the state of alert in Praid for 30 days, starting June 7, due to flooding caused by the Corund stream. Officials stressed that the priority is the safety of citizens. Work to divert the creek bed is ongoing and the temporary evacuation of the population will continue for at least 20 days. Access to the area is controlled and measures are being maintained to protect residents and visitors.
