The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has announced an extreme heat wave, with a Code Red heat wave in the counties of Mehedinți, Dolj, Olt and Teleorman, where temperatures will reach 41 degrees Celsius. The warnings extend to 17 counties and Bucharest, with tropical nights and severe heat discomfort. Other regions are under Code Orange and Yellow, with highs of 33-39 degrees. Atmospheric instability is also expected in mountain areas, with showers and thunderstorms. The heat wave will continue in the coming days.
