Paul Ciprian Pintea, a senator known for falsifying his CV, was caught again driving without a license, despite a previous conviction for a similar offense. The incident occurred on the night from Friday to Saturday when Pintea refused to stop at the police signal in Zalău. Authorities opened a criminal case against him and fined him for disobeying the agents' signals. Although he was tested with a breathalyzer, the result was negative. Pintea has a suspended sentence of one year and five months in prison for driving a vehicle without a license, a penalty that was merged with another previous conviction. The senator, elected in December 2024 on behalf of the Young People's Party, later became unaffiliated and is now part of the PSD group. Pintea has been involved in scandals related to his CV, including mentioning courses on a dating site and incorrect information about his education.
