The project was approved after the Ministry of Development asked the Bucharest City Hall to analyze and identify funding opportunities. The National Research and Development Institute for Earth Physics submitted a tender for the elaboration of natural risk maps for earthquakes in Bucharest, estimating the costs at 2,325,000 lei.
