The Romanian Naval Authority has announced the resumption of searches for the missing sailors following the sinking of the tugboat Astana, in the area of Port Midia.

The searches continue at a depth of approximately 26 meters, with the support of the vessel Artemis. Divers from the Romanian Naval Forces recovered on Wednesday evening the lifeless body of a crew member, and the search continues for the other three sailors who were on board. Authorities have opened a criminal case to investigate the causes of the accident. The tugboat Astana, built in 2006, is 26.09 meters long and has a power of 2610 kW.
