The police in Botoșani seized a man's gun after he threatened a person in an online video.

According to IPJ Botoșani, the police carried out three home searches on Saturday in the commune of Vârful Câmpului, targeting individuals suspected of violating the weapons and ammunition regime, as well as making threats. During the searches, in the home of a 43-year-old man, several items relevant to the investigation were discovered, including a 6 mm caliber pistol and pyrotechnic articles. The man was identified after posting a video on a social media platform in which he displayed the weapon and made threats to another person. The weapon was seized for forensic examination, which will determine its category and operational status. The police continue their investigations, also expanding them to include the illegal possession of pyrotechnic articles, and legal measures will be established based on the results obtained.
