The Public Health Directorate of Sibiu has sanctioned several employees of the Maternity Hospital following the death of a 33-year-old woman due to post-abortion complications.

The checks carried out by DSP Sibiu took place after the death of a 33-year-old woman who suffered severe complications after an abortion. Inspectors imposed three contraventional sanctions totaling 6,000 lei for non-compliance with patient monitoring procedures and the use of sterile materials. Although the abortion was performed under optimal conditions, the patient developed severe septic complications that led to her death, with the medical team stating that they provided all necessary care.
