A 33-year-old woman died after a cholecystectomy performed at the hospital in Sinaia, and her husband accuses the doctor of malpractice. After the procedure, the patient was hospitalized for 16 days, but her condition did not improve. Upon discharge, the surgeon recommended that she present herself at the Fundeni Clinical Institute for further investigations. There, the woman was operated on again, being diagnosed with a severe infection and 70% liver damage. Unfortunately, she passed away on Sunday night.
The husband decided to file a complaint with the police for medical negligence, and the Prahova Public Health Directorate has initiated an inspection at the hospital in Sinaia. It is worth mentioning that the surgeon had previously been accused of leaving a dressing in the abdomen of a patient, but the case was closed.
