A drone originating from Russian airspace struck the smoke stack of the power plant in Auvere, Estonia, on Wednesday morning, without causing injuries or damage to the energy network. The incident was confirmed by the Internal Security Service (ISS), which has launched an investigation supervised by the Prosecutor General of Estonia.

The drone entered Estonian airspace from Russia, and authorities did not specify whether it belongs to Russia or Ukraine. ISS Director Margo Palloson emphasized that such incidents could become more frequent amid the war in Ukraine. It was also mentioned that Ukraine has carried out attacks on Russia, including on the port of Ust-Luga, near the Estonian coast. Estonian authorities remain vigilant in the face of risks generated by the ongoing conflict.
