The Maramureș Forestry Directorate of Romsilva has initiated a tender on SEAP for the transport of 25,000 cubic meters of wood from the Vișeu Forestry District, using the narrow-gauge railway on the Vaser Valley, also known for its logging. The budget allocated for this operation is 1 million lei. Romsilva requests transport services for the wood coming from exploited logs, which must be transported to the depot of the Vișeu Forestry District, located in Vișeu de Sus. The tender is open only to SC RG Holz Company SRL, the only company that carries out wood transport on this railway. This company is also an important producer of laminated wood elements. According to Law no. 98/2016, the participation of a single company is allowed to ensure the transparency of the process, and if the offer is compliant, it can be designated as the winner.
