Romsilva will dismiss employees with criminal convictions for timber theft, restoring legality and public trust in forest management.

The case at the Cărbunești Forestry highlighted serious problems in the application of forestry legislation, where convicted employees continued to work. The Ministry of the Environment identified the articles in the collective labor contract that allow for their dismissal, emphasizing that criminals cannot be protectors of the forest. Romsilva decided to terminate the employment contracts to restore legality and transparency in the management of forests, continuing to identify officials with final convictions.
