Rompetrol has completed the intervention fleet at the Petromidia refinery with two fire trucks and two tankers for transporting foam, specially designed to support the semi-fixed fire extinguishing system. Sorin Graure, the general director of Rompetrol Rafinare, emphasized the importance of these modern equipment in increasing the intervention and protection capacity for employees and the community. The fire trucks are equipped with large tanks for water and foam, with pumps capable of ensuring a high flow rate. They are equipped with water and foam cannons that allow for complete rotation, facilitating effective coverage of action areas. The tankers, with a capacity of 17,000 liters, ensure an extended intervention duration, mixing foam with water to create the extinguishing agent. The project includes the transition from a fixed extinguishing system to a semi-fixed one, in which the fire trucks connect directly to the pipeline network. This modernization is part of a broader package of safety measures implemented in the refineries of the KMG International Group, including the modernization of essential equipment and the acquisition of modern GPS communication systems.
