Residents of the northern area of Tulcea County received, on the night of December 25 to 26, a RO-Alert message sent by ISU Tulcea due to drone attacks recorded near the border with Ukraine.

The Ministry of National Defense (MApN) announced that, on the night of December 25 to 26, two F-16 fighter jets from the 86th Air Base in Fetești were launched to monitor the air situation in the border area with Ukraine, following a Russian drone attack on Ukrainian ports on the Danube. At 1:05 AM, the aircraft were sent into the air, and the air surveillance system identified groups of drones launched by the Russian Federation. Additionally, at 1:23 AM, the population in the northern part of Tulcea County was warned through the RO-Alert system. MApN specified that, during the mission, no unauthorized incursions into national airspace were recorded.
