On the night from Saturday to Sunday, October 25 to 26, 2025, Romania will switch to winter time, and the clocks will be set back by one hour, so that 04:00 will become 03:00. This change will make Sunday the longest day of the year, having 25 hours. Although winter time is considered standard time, discussions at the European Union level regarding the abandonment of the time change have not yet led to a final decision.
