Over 50% of attacks were motivated by extortion or ransomware, and 52% of incidents had financial interests. The report highlights that critical public services, such as hospitals and educational institutions, are primary targets for cybercriminals, considering the volume of sensitive data they manage. The report also emphasizes the need for modern cybersecurity strategies, given that traditional measures are no longer sufficient. The use of artificial intelligence by attackers has increased, facilitating the expansion of cyber operations. In this context, organizational leaders are encouraged to treat cybersecurity as a strategic priority and to invest in advanced solutions, such as multifactor authentication, to protect data and prevent attacks.
