According to an analysis conducted by Microsoft, Russia has intensified cyberattacks against NATO states by 25% in the last year, particularly affecting the government sector. The United States was the most targeted, followed by the United Kingdom and Ukraine. Microsoft emphasized that these attacks are part of a 'hybrid war' waged by Russia, which includes unconventional tactics such as cyberattacks and drone incursions. The former head of MI5 warned that the United Kingdom could already be at war with Russia due to the escalation of attacks. Additionally, recent incidents, such as the incursion of Russian drones into Polish airspace and the interception of Russian aircraft by NATO, highlight the escalating tensions. Microsoft stated that Russia is using the cybercriminal community abroad to launch attacks, reflecting a broader approach to governance by Russia.
