The Ministry of Education of Romania announced on Wednesday a reform to reorganize the national system of research, development, and innovation, presented by Minister Daniel David during a meeting with Michael Kratsios, science advisor to the President of the USA. David emphasized Romania's competitive advantages, especially in the ELI-NP and Danubius-ERIC projects, and expressed the desire to expand collaborations with the National Science Foundation.
Additionally, there was discussion about research infrastructures, including artificial intelligence, hydrogen-based energy, and semiconductors, as well as the role of research in defense and combating pseudoscience. The Romanian delegation also included Ambassador Andrei Muraru and the rector of SNSPA, Remus Pricopie.
