Robert Negoiță, the mayor of Sector 3, is under preventive measures imposed by the DNA, which prohibit him from exercising his duties during the investigation. He is not allowed to communicate with the employees of the municipality or enter the institution, and any violation of these restrictions could lead to a more severe measure, such as house arrest.
In this context, several employees of the municipality, including the director of the Roads Maintenance and Repair Directorate, are being questioned by the DNA regarding the works for a road built on the property of the mayor's brother. Negoiță left the DNA headquarters in a state of freedom but must pay a bail of 800,000 lei. The searches conducted by the DNA target the manner in which the road was constructed, which is alleged to have been funded with public money to support a real estate project of the Negoiță family.
