On Thursday, firefighters from the 'Mihail Sturdza' Emergency Situations Inspectorate in Iași intervened at a traffic accident on Palat Street, where a tram on route 13 collided with a car and a van. At the time of the call, no victims were reported, and all 20 people on the tram and vehicles evacuated themselves without needing medical care. The tram derailed, and firefighters acted to prevent fires and ensure traffic safety. Traffic was resumed after approximately 30 minutes. It was also announced that the tram line will be rehabilitated through a project by the Iași City Hall, funded by European funds, with a value of 144,073,783 lei, as the last rehabilitation took place between 1999-2000. The causes of the accident will be investigated by the competent authorities.
