The Tulcea Inspectorate for Emergency Situations issued a new RO-Alert message, the second on the same day, in the context of detecting aerial objects near the border with Ukraine.
The message, sent after 4:00 PM, warns about the possibility of falling objects from the airspace and recommends the population to take shelter in basements or civil protection shelters. In the absence of a shelter, it is suggested to remain indoors, away from windows and exterior walls. The estimated duration of the alert is 90 minutes.
The alert was issued after the radar system of the Ministry of National Defense (MApN) detected a group of aerial objects near the river border with Ukraine. Two F-16 aircraft were dispatched to monitor the situation. The drone quickly left national territory, heading towards Ukraine.
This incident occurred after, in July 2026, Romanian pilots shot down three drones that entered Romanian airspace.
