On Thursday morning, around 06:54, the population in the northern and eastern areas of Tulcea County was warned through a RO-ALERT message about the possibility of drones or fragments of them falling, in the context of the war in Ukraine.
Authorities urged citizens to remain calm and to take shelter in safe places for the next 90 minutes. This is the third air alert in recent hours, after two RO-ALERT messages were sent on Wednesday night for part of the county.
The Ministry of National Defense (MApN) confirmed that, around 22:30, an aerial threat was detected in the area of the town of Vâlcov in Ukraine, near the border with Romania. Citizens in the northern part of Tulcea County were alerted again around 23:05. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and inform the population about potential risks.
