On Monday, the authorities in Prahova County announced the resumption of water supply in all 13 affected towns and communes after the service interruption lasted over a week, caused by issues at the Paltinu dam. The population is advised to use the water only for toilet sanitation until the quality is confirmed.

The system operated by Hidro Prahova has been fully restarted, and the supply has been restored in a controlled manner to protect the infrastructure. The Prahova Public Health Directorate will begin checking the water quality, and previous results have shown variations that require further monitoring. Over 107,000 people have been affected by the lack of drinking water, and recent analyses confirm that the water leaving the Voila station meets the necessary parameters, however, further tests are needed to ensure potability throughout the entire network.
