Remus Pricopie, the rector of SNSPA, sent an alarming message to the parties competing for the Capital City Hall, comparing the current situation to the presidential elections in November 2024. He believes that the inability of pro-European parties to coordinate in a competition held in a single round could lead to a catastrophic result, allowing an extremist candidate to win. Pricopie emphasized that the attacks in the 'triangle' Bălăceanu-Ciucu-Drulă have consequences and that it is essential for the parties to collaborate.

He warned that Bucharest could be led by an extremist politician with pro-Moscow inclinations, who would bring a communication style based on scandal and public circus. He also mentioned the use of non-transparent digital infrastructures for electoral propaganda that can influence the elections. Pricopie urged PSD, PNL, and USR to take smart measures before the elections, highlighting the importance of massive voter participation to counteract extremism. He expressed a preference for a calm and dedicated leader capable of developing a European capital, warning that a pro-Russian mayor would represent a victory for Moscow.
