A recent survey shows a tight competition for the Capital City Hall, with the risk that Anca Alexandrescu, supported by AUR, may win due to the fragmentation of the electorate.

The latest opinion poll for the mayoral elections in the Capital indicates a tight competition among candidates, with a significant risk of voter fragmentation. The liberal Ciprian Ciucu leads with 19.2% of the voting intentions, followed by Daniel Băluță (PSD) with 18.6% and Cătălin Drulă (USR) with 18.1%. Anca Alexandrescu, a candidate supported by AUR, is in fourth place with 17.9%. The differences between these candidates are extremely small, falling within a margin of error of ±2%, making it impossible to anticipate a clear winner. The director of INSCOP, Remus Ștefureac, warned that the fragmentation of the vote could facilitate the victory of extremists through candidate Alexandrescu.
