CNAIR signed a 6.62 billion lei contract for the construction of the last section of the Transylvania Highway, which includes the longest road tunnel in Romania

The contract, the most expensive in Romanian road infrastructure, covers the 41 km-long Poarta Sălajului - Nușfalău section. It will include the 2.89 km Meseș Tunnel and 65 viaducts, bridges and overpasses totaling 13 km. Funded by the Transport Program 2021-2027, the project is to be completed in 78 months, including 18 months for design and 60 months for execution. This modern road link will connect western, central and northern Romania.
