The contract, the most expensive in Romanian road infrastructure, covers the 41 km-long Poarta Sălajului - Nușfalău section. It will include the 2.89 km Meseș Tunnel and 65 viaducts, bridges and overpasses totaling 13 km. Funded by the Transport Program 2021-2027, the project is to be completed in 78 months, including 18 months for design and 60 months for execution. This modern road link will connect western, central and northern Romania.
