In the town of Huedin, Cluj County, a 36-year-old man was apprehended by police after ignoring their stop signals. The incident took place in the locality of Călălăbeș, where the driver was caught driving under the influence of alcohol. The police managed to stop the car in the locality of Călata, where the man attempted to switch places at the wheel with a 34-year-old woman.
In the vehicle, there were also seven minors, aged between eight months and 14 years. Checks revealed that the man did not have a driving license, which had been previously revoked due to traffic offenses. The breathalyzer test indicated a value of 0.89 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air. The man was taken to the hospital for biological sample collection and subsequently detained for 24 hours, being incarcerated in a preventive detention center.
