ANRSC has approved the increase of water and sewage tariffs in Romania, on average by about 15%, starting from January 1, 2026.

The National Authority for Regulation of Community Utility Services (ANRSC) has approved average adjustments of 15% for water tariffs, affecting 13 out of 47 regional operators. The increases range from 11.08% in Craiova to 19.65% in Turda. Other affected cities include Arad, Focșani, Constanța, Târgoviște, and Bacău, with increases of 12-13%, while Târgu Jiu, Pitești, and Brașov have increases of 14-15%.


Starting in 2026, Bacău will have the highest price for drinking water, at 11.25 lei/mc, followed by Turda and Iași. Additionally, sewage-treatment services will have the highest tariffs in Târgoviște, at 11.07 lei/mc. The operator ApaVital in Iași will charge the highest total tariff, at 23.50 lei/mc, while the lowest tariffs will be in Timiș, at 12.61 lei/mc.
