Railway traffic between Banu Mărăcine and Malu Mare will be closed for two weeks, starting from February 16, for works on the Cârcea viaduct.

CFR Infrastructura has announced the closure of railway traffic between the Banu Mărăcine and Malu Mare stations, on the 100 Bucharest – Timișoara line, starting from February 16, for a period of two weeks. This measure is necessary for carrying out maintenance and modernization works on the Cârcea viaduct. Passengers will be transported by minibus on the Craiova – Leuș route and back. The scheduled works include the dismantling of the contact line and tracks, the relocation of railway installations, the removal of temporary bridges, the repair of metal decks, and the installation of new decks. Railway traffic will resume on track II starting March 1.
