Nicolae Cuzi is accused of withholding key evidence in a rape case to favor a suspect, a priest, faces up to eight years in prison. Between July 16 and Aug. 30, 2024, the prosecutor allegedly suppressed important documents and forged documents to justify a dismissal. The case has been sent to the Court of Appeal in Galati, where the trial will continue, while Cuzi has chosen not to give statements during the investigation.
