Alexandru Nazare, the interim Minister of Finance, announced on Monday that he proposed a bridge loan from Exim Bank to ensure the financing of ROMATSA's operations, in the context of a dispute with Pfizer.
As part of a package of 11 measures, Nazare explained that this bridge loan would allow ROMATSA to continue operating until the renegotiation with Pfizer is completed. The proposal includes two options for financing: the bridge loan or the use of the budget reserve fund. This mechanism is permanent and will also be used for future disputes.
Asked about the impact on the budget deficit, Nazare assured that if the bridge loan is implemented, it will not affect the cash deficit, emphasizing the importance of this solution for maintaining financial stability.
