The Minister of Transport, Ciprian Șerban, announced an important project for the Port of Constanța, with a total value of 23.05 million euros, co-financed through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program and the Transport Program. This project represents an essential step in the transition to a green and digital port, with objectives to increase energy efficiency, reduce losses, and integrate smart monitoring technologies.

Among the proposed modifications are the modernization of the power system by transitioning from 6 kV to 20 kV and the implementation of a centralized SCADA system for real-time monitoring and control. Ciprian Șerban emphasizes that the investment will strengthen the Port of Constanța as an efficient, safe, and sustainable logistics hub, ready for future expansions and for the European energy transition.
