The Boița Viaduct, one of the most impressive projects of the Sibiu - Pitești highway, is advancing with the installation of metal structures at a height of over 50 meters.

However, the head of CNAIR mentioned that the lack of the Revised Environmental Agreement and Construction Authorizations delays the works, allowing contractors to carry out only 45% of the total planned works. Activities are concentrated on the already authorized sections, including tunnels and viaducts.

The Secretary of State in the Ministry of Transport, Horațiu Cosma, announced that the revision of the environmental agreement could be completed this summer, thus facilitating the full authorization of the section. Currently, work is being done on three sections of the highway, with completion deadlines between 2026 and 2028. Section 1 has already been opened to traffic, and other sections are scheduled to be completed ahead of schedule.
