Starting from May 28, 2025, the TBM 'Sfânta Ana' has begun excavating the tunnel on Line 1, marking the completion of the first segment of tunnel for Metro Line 6. So far, 900 m have been excavated and 600 tunnel rings have been assembled. Work continues with significant progress at the Tokyo, Băneasa Airport, and Băneasa Train Station, where considerable excavations and concrete works have been completed. Important structures have also been finalized at Ion I.C. Brătianu Station and Otopeni Airport. Metro Line 6 will connect 1 Mai Station with Otopeni Airport, having a total length of 7.6 km.
