The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Bucharest will organize a procession dedicated to Saint Pope John Paul II on Sunday, which will be attended by priests, believers, and monks from the entire archdiocese. The procession will start from the monument dedicated to Pope John Paul II, located next to the Apostolic Nunciature, and will be led by His Excellency Aurel Percă. The program includes prayers, a liturgical celebration, and a blessing with the saint's relic. For the event to take place, traffic will be restricted between 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM on certain streets in the area. This year marks 26 years since the first visit of a pope to Romania, and the monument dedicated to him was unveiled in 2011, being a work by the sculptor Mirsad Begic.
