A police officer from Neamț County was caught by the DNA receiving a bribe of 15,000 euros to intervene in favor of a suspect in a criminal case.

The police officer, who worked in a section of a village in Neamț, was caught red-handed when he received 15,000 euros from an informant, promising him that he would intervene to get him out of arrest in a case of violence. Previously, he had also received 13,000 euros from the same individual, also for interventions related to his legal issues. The charges include acts of corruption and influencing statements.
