The DNA prosecutors initiated criminal proceedings against Florin Simineanu, a police officer within the IPJ Constanța, for the crime of bribery. Following a control carried out on November 3, 2025, at a company in Constanța County, the officer discovered irregularities but did not apply sanctions, advising the director to remedy the issues.

Subsequently, on November 12, he requested from the general director of the company an amount between 20,000 and 25,000 lei, threatening that he would apply sanctions. On November 28, he was caught in the act receiving 5,000 euros (equivalent to 25,000 lei). The Bucharest Tribunal decided to place Simineanu in preventive detention for 30 days, informing him of the charges.
