A police officer from Ialomița County is accused of killing a dog, the incident taking place on the street. The investigation was initiated by the Ialomița County Police Inspectorate (IPJ), following a report from the dog's owner. As part of this investigation, the police have begun to check other suspicious facts related to the officer, who now works at IPJ Mureș. Intentional killing of animals is punishable in Romania with imprisonment from 2 to 7 years, according to Law no. 205/2004. Additionally, the leadership of IPJ Mureș has been informed about the officer's behavior on social media, where he posts photos with the weapons he possesses, and an internal investigation has been initiated in this regard.
